Board-certified physician Rachel Ricafort, MD, FAAP, brings more than two decades of experience in pediatric medicine to Smyrna Pediatrics, serving infants, children, and adolescents in Smyrna, Tennessee, and throughout Rutherford County.
Dr. Ricafort was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. She earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, and began her career as a pediatric nurse, serving at Vanderbilt Medical Center before returning to school to pursue a career in medicine.
Dr. Ricafort obtained her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in the West Indies, Grenada. She subsequently completed a residency in pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey.
She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and also holds membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics. Since 2003, Dr. Ricafort has worked in and served the Smyrna community. During that time, she earned the title of Best Pediatrician by Nashville Scene and the local Ruthies Awards.
Outside of her pediatric practice, Dr. Ricafort holds staff privileges at Centennial Women and Children’s Hospital, Stonecrest Medical Center, and Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Ricafort loves spending one-on-one time with her patients and making them feel comfortable. The office offers same-day visits and accepts referrals made by her patients’ families.
